Morning Music Playlist

Yesterday I talked a little about changing my morning routine to be a bit more joyful and useful. (And shared a delish recipe for Lemon Pistachio Bundt Cake.) Part of that new routine involves turning on music that is mellow, uplifting, and inspiring. Naturally, this made me want to create a new Tuesday Tunes playlist to share with all of you.

In the morning, I tend to like something that’s slow and soft, but not boring. I need a little rhythm to get me going but not so much that I feel rushed or panicked. Since I work from home, I have the luxury of taking time with my morning routine, so I figured I might as well relish in it. Even if you don’t have that luxury, I hope you have a moment of calm each day (or at least on the weekend) when you might enjoy this playlist as well.

(Cat mug can be found here.)

As you may have predicted, there are lots of folk-inspired tunes and colorful acoustic covers. All of my favorites to start the day or take a break from it. So, why not grab a cup of coffee and join me.

You can use the playlist above or listen directly on Spotify by clicking here.

Be sure to subscribe to my profile for access to all of my favorite tunes along with sneak listens of upcoming playlists. Have a song I should hear? Let me know in the comments below.

Also, I wanted to mention that I created a mix of tunes called IBC’s Current Playlist. This collection of songs is what I’m currently listening to and loving. It’s my go-to. It is (and probably always will be) an eclectic mix that evolves over time. If you’re so inclined, you can follow along or listen to that playlist here.

Happy Tuesday, friends!

  1. You have the best taste in music! I’ve been listening to your current playlist tonight. Brandi Carlile has been one of my favs forever. But tonight “She Use To Be Mine” stole my heart. You need to listen to Kim Ritchie. Those Words We Said, Didn’t I, and That’s Exactly What I Mean are my favorites.

    1. Mimi, I’m so glad you’re loving the music. That makes me so happy! I’ll definitely check out Kim. Thanks for the suggestion.
