Last month I had the opportunity to visit a farmer’s market in Vista, California in partnership with my friends over at Miracle-Gro Nature’s Care. In case you’re not familiar with Nature’s Care, they have a full line of products inspired by nature, including soils, plant foods, and controls designed for organic gardening.

Nature’s Care created a mobile tour that visit farmer’s markets along the west coast and invited bloggers and creators like myself to join the tour and offer a fun (and in my case delicious) demonstration showcasing their new line of products.

Inspired by my fondness for fresh herbs and for growing edible gardens back home. I decided to share a recipe for Sparkling Mint Lemonade.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Sparkling Mint Lemonade sounds kind of basic. I agree. However, as I’ve mentioned many times here on IBC, sometimes you can’t beat a classic recipe, especially when you give it a little twist.

How to Make Sparkling Mint Lemonade:

Muddling fresh mint into the recipe and then topping the lemonade with a splash of sparkling water truly makes this drink special.

For that reason, I felt this was a doable idea and fabulous thing to demonstrate at the Farmer’s Market. I was right. It was a wonderful day, and folks loved the lemonade.

What made the day even more memorable was that several IBC readers stopped by. SweetShade Lane and Damara (and hubby) drove several hours to visit and share their pictures with me. – You made the day extra special. I can’t thank you enough.

Also, be sure to pop back on IBC later today. I created fun packets that I gave away at the farmer’s market. They included a recipe card for the lemonade, blank recipe cards, and pineapple mint seeds for growing your own mint with Nature’s Care. I’ll be giving away some extra packets and revealing how you can get free printables of the recipes cards I had designed for the event. (ENTER TO WIN and learn about the free printables HERE.)

Anywho, as promised, for all of you who couldn’t attend, I’m sharing the Sparkling Mint Lemonade recipe below. Give it a try for your summer celebrations and let me know what you think.

Have fun with it. Toss in other things such as fresh berries or use basil instead of mint to create your own unique flavor. ( The adorable glass bottles can be found HERE.)
