Another Festive Wreath

I had a really fun and festive DIY project planned for today. Part of the project involves cutting 2x4s in a particular way. When I attempted it, I nearly shot a piece of wood through my face. Clearly that is not a good thing. So, I’m going to pick up some clamps and attempt the process again tomorrow. (I know everyone has failures so I’m not beating myself up about it. I’m just grateful I wasn’t injured.)
Since that project is temporarily on hold and my back door still needed a wreath, I used today to whip one up. I realize I already created a wreath in this series, so I hope you’ll bear with me as I share another.
This wreath started very much like my other one. I began with the same type of wreath from Target. I also used some leftover ornaments and a few new ones.
Did anyone else notice that Target is selling a bunch of ornaments that are new, but look vintage? They are pretty amazing.
Anyway, as before I used hot glue to attach the ornaments to the wreath. This time, however, I let the tops of the fancier ornaments show rather than tucking them nto the wreath. I wanted to be able to see all of those details.
As you can see, I also went little grander with my bow.
Lots of long tails extend from the main bow. I swept them down the left side of the wreath, tucked them in at the bottom, and trimmed them at various lengths. I saw this idea on Etsy and thought it was such a unique way to put ribbon on a wreath.
What do you think?
You have probably figured out that I really enjoy creating wreaths. In fact, I’ve been making them since high school. Kind of crazy, right? Some are clearly better than others, but the process is so much fun, I just have a blast putting them together. I guess it’s that idea of making something beautiful out of nothing.
And that’s it, folks. My second wreath of the season. Which one do you prefer? The traditional red and green or my more colorful creation?

Michael, I’m in love with this wreath!!! Do you happen to recall where or how to purchase that green ribbon used! I love it!!!!
It was from Walmart I believe, but that was 8 years ago.

beautiful!
Loved this wreath so much, I went out today and bought a bunch of ornaments to make my very own!
Yay! I hope it turned out beautifully! They are so fun to put together.

Gorgeous! Especially against the red door.
Oh my gosh, Michael! It’s so pretty! I’m off to check out your other one….
So pretty! I love the traditional look. It’s hard to believe that the vintage-looking ornaments are actually new.
I know, how about that!? And they are reasonably price too.

Hard to have (or make!) too many wreaths. :). Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
