Last week I had the incredible opportunity to join my friends from Better Homes and Gardens in New York City again for their Blogger Stylemaker Event. If you remember, I went to NYC last year for their first annual event.

This year’s event was extra special because BHG invited even more bloggers and made it an all-day occasion. In the morning, we had workshops in which we received tips on working with a magazine, learned about table styling from Eddie Ross, and heard about design and food trends. We also had a chance to meet so many of the fabulous people at BHG who work with the physical magazine and the digital side of things.

I have had the honor and privilege of working for BHG for over a year now. I write for their Style Spotters blog and their Delish Dish blog. In addition, I’m their Pinterest Contributing Editor. You can find the blogs here and here and my Pinterest board here. I can’t speak highly enough of all of the women and men who are a part of this magazine. Their talent is endless and they are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. It is pure joy to be a small part of this rockstar team.

After the workshops, BHG hosted a panel where three of their Stylemakers spoke and answered questions about their personal style, tips and tricks, and design trends. Maxwell Ryan moderated the event with panelists Kayce Hughes, Eddie Ross, and Annette Joseph. You can read about these panelists and see their spaces in the September issue. (Which I must say, is one of BHG’s best issues!)

As if all of that wasn’t enough, I also got to meet or reunite with some of my absolute favorite bloggers. These folks are seriously some of the best-of-the-best. Talented, gorgeous, and beyond kind. Let me introduce you…

In the top left, is the uber-talented Stefanie of Brooklyn Limestone. Top right is yours truly, Kelly from Just a Taste, Joanne from Fifteen Spatulas (who I worked with via Cracker Barrel), and Julie of The Little Kitchen. In the bottom left, is sort of a Buick reunion with Jess from Bows and Sequins and Julie again. In the bottom right, is one of my favorites from the BHG Digital Team, Kaelin.

After lots of cellphone pictures, we had some fun in the photo booth. Maybe a little too much fun.

Pictured above are some of my fellow BHG Bloggers, including Chelsey of The Paper Mama, (yours truly again), Kelly of View Along the Way, Joni of Lay Baby Lay, Jen of I Heart Organizing, Kirsten of Simply Grove, and Kirsten of Kirsten Krason Interiors

These are a few of my favorite home, interior, and DIY bloggers! From left to right are Stacy of Not Just a Housewife, Jen of I Heart Organizing, Melissa of The Inspired Room, Laura of Finding Home, and Jess from Four Generations One Roof.

Throughout the event, BHG was displaying lots of these images on a huge billboard-sized screen outside the event. So, I can officially say that my face was on a billboard in New York City. Pretty awesome, right?

Overall, the event was beyond amazing! I also got to meet a few other wonderful bloggers not pictured above, including Sandy of Reluctant Entertainer (who I will be visiting near Portland, Oregon in October), Rachel of Pencil Shavings Studio,  the super sweet Diane of In My Own Style, and SO many more I know I’m forgetting.

I even had a few spare minutes to explore the magic that is New York City and sip on a few Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Now, if that isn’t a wonderful trip. I don’t know what is.

I’m thrilled to report that BHG has so many fabulous ideas, plans and dreams up their sleeves. I’m so excited to see the awesomeness unfold and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Hope you are having a beautiful fall weekend. Did you notice any familiar bloggers above?

Oh Michael, it sounds like you had a fantastic time. I am even more excited to hear you are coming to Portland, OR this coming month! I will ask the weather gods to bring you good fortune while you are here, although this weekend we may be getting ALL of the rain and wind, so you might be good to go! You will LOVE Portland! I live in Salem, about 45 minutes away. I hope you will get to stop by one of the Grand Central Bakery spots in Portland………we go there every few weeks to load up on their gorgeous tasty breads.

As always, loving your blog and living vicariously through your experiences!
